CloudEx Inc. ("we", "us", or "our") operates the "Photo Editor Pro" app for iOS (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices available to you. By using the Service, you are deemed to have agreed to the practices described in this Policy.
1. Our Core Principle
Photo Editor Pro is an app for editing photos on your device. All photo editing — filters, effects, cropping, text, stickers, collage, background removal, and so on — is performed entirely on your device. Your photos are processed locally and are never uploaded to our servers. Specifically, we do not transmit, store on our servers, or look into any of the following:
- The photos or images you open, edit, or save
- The contents of your photo library or any other files on your device
- A personally identifiable history of how you use the app
The only time an image leaves your device is when you choose to share or export it using the standard iOS share sheet.
2. On-Device Image Processing
Photo Editor Pro uses Apple's Vision framework (built into iOS) to power features such as cutout and background removal. This processing runs entirely on your device; the image data is analyzed locally by iOS and is never sent to us or to any third party for this purpose.
3. Information We Collect
3.1 Information Collected Automatically
Photo Editor Pro does not contain any advertising or analytics SDKs, and does not collect an advertising identifier (IDFA). The only automatic collection is anonymous crash diagnostics:
- Anonymous crash reports: Via Firebase Crashlytics. When the app crashes, we collect the stack trace, device model, OS version, and app version. This does not include personally identifiable information, your photos, or their contents.
- Purchase / license information: We use transaction information issued by Apple's App Store to verify your one-time purchase. Payment is processed entirely by Apple; we never receive any payment information such as credit card numbers.
- Apple diagnostics (optional, via Apple): If you have opted in to share analytics and crash data with app developers in your iOS settings, Apple may provide us with additional anonymized crash and usage reports. This is controlled by you in iOS Settings and governed by Apple's privacy policy.
3.2 Information Stored Only on Your Device
- Your photos and edited images: The photos you import and the images you save are kept on your device (or in the Photos library / location you choose). They are not uploaded to us.
- App settings: Editor preferences and similar settings are stored only on your device. They are erased when you delete the app.
3.3 Information We Explicitly Do Not Collect
- The contents of your photos or images
- A history of the websites you visit or the contents of your communications
- Location information such as GPS coordinates
- Your advertising identifier (IDFA)
- Phone number, contacts, calendar, or microphone
3.4 Permissions the App Requests and Their Purposes
Photo Editor Pro requests only the permissions it needs to let you edit and save photos, and uses them only for the stated purposes:
- Camera — Requested only when you choose to take a new photo to edit. The captured photo is used only for editing on your device.
- Add to Photos — Requested only when you save an edited image, so it can be written to your Photos library. Selecting photos to edit uses the system photo picker, which does not require photo-library access.
- Network access — Used only for anonymous crash diagnostics described above and to verify your in-app purchase. Your photos are never sent over the network.
4. How We Use Information
The limited information we collect is used only for the following purposes:
- Operating and maintaining the Service
- Verifying your purchase
- Diagnosing and fixing crashes
- Responding to support inquiries
- Complying with applicable laws
5. Third-Party Services
Photo Editor Pro uses the following third-party services. Each service has its own privacy policy.
- Apple App Store / StoreKit (Apple Inc.) — payments for the one-time purchase are completed entirely by Apple; we receive only the purchase status
- Firebase Crashlytics (Google LLC) — anonymous crash diagnostic data
Photo Editor Pro does not display ads within the app, does not include third-party analytics or tracking SDKs, and does not share your data with advertising networks.
6. Data Retention
- Crash reports: retained for 90 days, then deleted.
- Purchase records: managed and retained by Apple under its own policies. The app stores only an unlock flag on your device.
- Support emails: retained for 12 months after the last reply, then deleted (except where legally required).
- Photos, edited images, and settings on your device: erased when you delete them or delete the app.
7. International Data Transfers
We are based in Japan. The infrastructure used for crash diagnostics may be located in various countries. When you use the Service, the minimal information described above may be processed outside your country of residence under standard contractual safeguards.
8. Your Rights
Depending on where you reside (e.g., the EEA, UK, California, Japan), you may have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of the limited information we hold. You can:
- Delete the app to erase the settings stored on your device
- Manage sharing of diagnostics with developers in iOS Settings (Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements)
- Contact us at the address below to make a request regarding the information we hold
9. Children's Privacy
Photo Editor Pro is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the minimum age applicable in your region). If we inadvertently collect information from such a child, we will delete it promptly upon being contacted.
10. Changes to This Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. The latest version is always published at this URL together with its effective date. We will also notify you within the app of significant changes as appropriate.
